
Building a Fitness Startup from the Ground Up
GymRobot.ai has been one of my most hands-on, full-circle creative journeys. It’s a project where I helped shape and refine the brand, voice, and user experience before the app ever reached the public. From early concepting and strategy to beta launch and ongoing marketing, I partnered directly with the founder to bring the product to life and introduce it to its first users.
As the communications, brand, and marketing lead, I built GymRobot’s identity from scratch: defining the brand voice, designing content systems, creating UX-focused educational materials, and developing campaigns that communicated the app’s purpose with clarity and personality. I planned and executed social, web, and email initiatives; crafted ads and onboarding flows; supported feature rollouts; and built repeatable content frameworks to help the brand scale.
This role blended creative strategy, design execution, copywriting, analytics, and user education. It gave me the opportunity to help launch a new fitness tech product with a clear, human-centered message: fitness can be simple, smart, and personalized for everyone.

Key Contributions
- Built the brand from the ground up — Established GymRobot’s visual identity, voice, tone, and messaging frameworks to create a cohesive and recognizable brand across all platforms.
- Developed the content ecosystem — Created and managed the editorial calendar, campaign structure, and multichannel content strategy spanning Instagram, Facebook, web, email, and in-app communication.
- Led copywriting and content creation — Wrote onboarding content, social copy, newsletters, ads, and campaign materials to introduce users to the value of the app.
- Designed high-performing visuals — Produced graphics, UX-friendly educational posts, video prompts, and marketing assets in Canva that clarified complex fitness concepts and elevated brand storytelling.
- Supported product development and beta testing — Collaborated with the founder on early feature definitions, user experience explanations, and communications around updates and improvements.
- Created repeatable systems and playbooks — Built reusable templates, messaging guides, and content workflows that streamline production and support long-term scalability.
- Analyzed performance and optimized strategy — Tracked engagement across ads, social channels, and email campaigns; developed insights to refine future content and user acquisition efforts.
- Helped shape launch strategy — Contributed to positioning, go-to-market messaging, user education materials, and community-focused content leading into the app’s beta and early growth phase.
