Hello there!
I’m Ellen Sharif, a versatile designer, editor, and storyteller with a passion for crafting engaging digital experiences through strategic content and design. As a Lead Designer & Editor at USA Today Sports, I’ve shaped brand narratives, optimized content strategy, and translated complex ideas into compelling, user-first experiences. My expertise spans web copywriting, UX writing, SEO, and data-driven storytelling, ensuring that every word and design decision drives engagement and action.
Now, I’m eager to bring my skills into the fintech space, where I can simplify complex financial concepts and create content that empowers users. While my professional background has been rooted in sports media and brand design, I’ve developed a strong foundation in UX writing, digital marketing, and content strategy—all of which are essential for crafting clear, accessible, and engaging financial experiences. I thrive in collaborative environments, working with designers, product teams, and developers to bring impactful content to life.
I’m excited to apply my expertise in storytelling and user-first content strategy to help shape the future of financial technology. Let’s build something that makes financial experiences smarter, clearer, and more accessible.
Who I am
I’m a world-traveler and always seem to be planning my next trip. I am a huge sports fan and have incredible memories attending Green Bay Packers games at Lambeau Field, Formula One races, tennis majors, and a Manchester United game at Old Trafford stadium- a bucket list item for me.
When weather permits, I love spending my time outside, road biking, running and hiking. I love exploring new restaurants and bars around town with my husband and friends and attending the local farmers market on Saturdays.
I’m also a huge Harry Potter fan and have a pet rabbit I rescued named Buddy.
